Office openings and relocations

A new space or a move comes with a fixed date and a long list of technology tasks. Red Cap Systems plans and installs the cabling, network, Wi-Fi, workstations, and meeting-room equipment, so your team can start working on day one.

When teams call us

  • You signed a lease and need cabling and network ready before move-in
  • You're moving and can't lose workdays while equipment is disconnected and reconnected
  • Your contractor, landlord, or internet provider needs one technology contact to work with
  • You're combining two locations or opening a second office
  • The new space has existing cabling and nobody knows what's usable

Your agreed handoff

  • A written scope and schedule tied to your move-in date
  • Tested, labeled connections that match your floor plan
  • A network closet and rack your team can troubleshoot quickly
  • Before-and-after photos and an equipment list with serial numbers
  • Closeout notes, including anything that still needs follow-up

Scope

  • Coordination with your contractor, landlord, and internet provider

Cabling and network

  • Cat6 or Cat6A runs, patch panels, and racks
  • Network equipment installed and connected
  • Wi-Fi access points placed for coverage

Move day

  • Labeling equipment and connections before anything moves
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting desks, printers, and network gear
  • Testing each workstation and shared device at the new site

After the move

  • Conference-room displays and video equipment
  • Removing old cabling and equipment you no longer need
  • A closeout walkthrough with your team

Move-day work can be scheduled after hours or on a weekend when your business can't pause.

How it works

How an office project runs

  1. Share the plan

Send the address, target date, rough headcount, and floor plans if you have them.

  2. Review the space

Dan looks at the site or drawings, checks the network closet and pathways, and notes what can be reused.

  3. Agree on scope and schedule

You get a written scope and a schedule built around construction, delivery, and move dates.

  4. Install, move, and document

We complete the work in phases, test everything, and hand over the closeout record.

Where we work

Red Cap Systems is based in Costa Mesa, in Orange County, and supports office openings and moves across Southern and Northern California. When an office moves between areas, such as from Los Angeles to Irvine, we can handle both the old site and the new one.

Scheduling is tailored to each project. For Northern California sites, we plan travel into the schedule when the work is booked.
